Steinsdotter Collaborates with UK Electronic Hitmakers on “For the Kill”

Steinsdotter shows no mercy in “For the Kill,” a fiercely animated brew of styles from three of the UK’s hottest dance and electronic artists.

LONDON, UK (November 6, 2023) - The 40 Records, a multi-disciplinary collective of musicians, artists and performers, presents “For The Kill” by KDA, Steinsdotter, and Joseph Ashworth. The new single is out November 24 and follows Steinsdotter’s recent mixtape Ginnungagap, an eclectic project acclaimed by tastemakers like Banger of the Day and Boot Music. “This is a song for the outlander and the untamed,” says Steinsdotter. “Working with KDA and Joseph gave me a feel of that underground London sass that the world is missing right now.”

Together, the trio collects nearly one million monthly listeners for their genre-defying blends of scenic dance, electronic, and avant-garde music. “For the Kill” fits perfectly into the artists’ catalogs with its intoxicating beat and anthemic energy. Steinsotter leads the project with her confident vocal performance - inviting listeners to sing (and dance) along. KDA and Joseph Ashworth are no strangers to success, with the former’s collaborations including a wide range of genres spanning from R&B stars like Tinashe to poets like Patrick Cash. Ashworth’s production style thrives in the electronic space, pushing him to the top of the UK’s most cutting-edge producers.

“For the Kill” is available on all streaming platforms on November 26th.

About Steinsdotter:
London artist Steinsdotter makes ethereal electronic pop with a refined edge. True to her Nordic heritage as a descendant of a fearless Viking warrior witch whose remains can be found in the British Museum today.
