Twenty-seven-year old Kayla Thompson is an interdisciplinary artist making waves across the entertainment industry. She was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, and later moved to North Carolina where she currently lives with her family. While she only began seriously pursuing music in 2015, being raised in generations of singers, songwriters, and musicians, made music a fundamental building block of her life. Thompson is known for her ethereal vocals, masterfully crafted pop melodies, and hypnotic guitar playing; with her music having garnered attention from esteemed tastemakers like SoFar Sounds, Bringin' It Backwards, and Whytt Magazine, she has also found herself featured on multiple Spotify editorial playlists in 2022. The fan favorite, "Younger," gained more streams than any other single in the first week alone, and launched the artist full force into a year filled with more releases, like "The Remains," and set her up for a series of mesmerizing live shows from North Carolina, to Nashville, to LA. Thompson has also found herself exploring new interests in 2022; fans have loved getting her takes on the hottest pop culture and entertainment news tea as a personality on Shared News, as well as from her pop-culture podcast, 'All The Right Reasons.' Listeners can look forward to a fresh era of music in 2023 as Thompson dives head-first into a matured, vibrant indie pop sound. She is starting the year out with a string of singles leading up to her debut EP due early this summer. Check out Kayla on Instagram and TikTok to stay up to date with all of her latest projects, or whenever you need a little extra love to put a smile on your face.
