Amelie Jat Channels Myth, Movement, and Momentum on “VENUS/ADONIS”

With its sense of motion, drama, and poise, “VENUS/ADONIS” carries a palpable runway energy. The propulsive new single continues the London artist’s experimental era with a bold, club-leaning edge.

LONDON, UK (March 30, 2026) —Amelie Jat returns May 29 with “VENUS/ADONIS,” a thrill-seeking follow-up to her March release “even in an ending.” While that single introduced a more reflective, cinematic chapter in Jat’s work, “VENUS/ADONIS” reveals another side of the same artistic evolution, but louder, sharper, and unapologetically kinetic.

The track trades traditional pop structure for momentum and movement. It starts with a late-night electricity that feels theatrical and self-possessed, yet still rooted in the storytelling and atmosphere that define Jat’s current era.

“You’re like Venus / I’m Adonis / we’re better off alone / let’s just be honest,” Jat sings with a decisive, almost strutting energy. The mythological imagery of the title frames a very human realization: clarity found not in romance, but in recognizing when distance is the truest form of connection. The track invites listeners to immerse themselves in its atmosphere, guided as much by feeling as by the lyrics.

“VENUS/ADONIS” was made alongside producer Agon Branza, whose work helped shape the sonic shift introduced earlier this year. Together, they continue to embrace unconventional arrangements and a freer production style that prioritizes instinct over formula.

“This era has been about letting the songs move the way they want to move,” Jat said. “Not asking whether something works as a commercial pop record, but if it feels honest to the world we’re building.”

“VENUS/ADONIS” is available on all streaming platforms on May 29.

More about Amelie Jat:

Amelie Jat is a London-based singer, songwriter and performer whose work blends cinematic atmosphere with emotionally precise, story-driven songwriting. Known for transforming lived experience and close observation into immersive pop narratives, Jat’s music exists at the intersection of vulnerability, restraint and emotional world-building.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Jat began her musical journey as a drummer at the age of three, before expanding into songwriting, vocals, and performance. Now based in London, she has built a reputation for crafting deeply felt songs that balance intimacy with scale — creating music that feels both personal and expansive.

Following the release of her 2023 album for the plot and her 2025 project NONCHALANT, Jat established herself as a rising force in contemporary pop, earning Commercial Pop Club Chart success with singles including “rollercoaster” (#7) and “steal your shirt.” While those releases showcased her gift for emotionally direct, performance-driven pop, her 2026 work marks a deliberate artistic evolution.

Her latest era introduces a more experimental, mature, and narrative-led approach to songwriting and production. Jat’s recent music invites listeners into a collection of lived-in moments and shared emotional landscapes. It’s an era defined by patience, ambiguity, and storytelling.

With her 2026 releases, Amelie Jat steps into her most confident and artistically ambitious chapter to date — expanding her sound while deepening the emotional world that has always defined her work.
